Iara

Iara is a figure in Brazilian mythology; essentially taking the role of a traditional siren, Iara was known to lure men in with song until they fell in love with her. Because they are immortal, Iara would often become lonely after each romance ended. 

So excited to finally be finished with this illustration! I began this piece earlier this year but became discouraged as my reference was deleted. Hope you enjoy!
